The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam has announced the 1st Round of Online Counselling for MBBS/BDS Admission 2025. Eligible NEET UG 2025 candidates under the Assam State Quota must complete online registration from 24th July to 29th July 2025 at www.dme.assam.gov.inChoice filling will be available from 30th July to 2nd August, and the seat allotment result will be declared on 6th August 2025. Bond Policy for MBBS Candidates in Assam

Service Requirement:

  • Post-Completion Service: After completing the MBBS course, the candidate is required to serve the Government of Assam for a minimum period of 5 years.
  • Service Scope: The service obligation includes working in any State Government Service within the Health and Allied sector, including agencies/institutions under NHM (National Health Mission) or any other State/Central Government sponsored schemes.
  • Rural Service: The service period must include at least 1 year of rural service.

Breach of Terms:

  • Penalty: If the candidate fails to fulfill the service obligation, they will be liable to pay a compensation amount of Rs. 30,00,000 (Rupees thirty lakhs) to the Government of Assam, Health and Family Welfare Department.
